You may or may not know this but we work with many customers as they're at car dealerships trying to buy a new or used car. One of the last things we tend to think about as consumers, when considering a car purchase, is insurance. Towards the end of the transaction this becomes a decisive moment usually resulting in whether we are able to buy the car we're so excited about or not. The customers we help generally fall into one of three categories:
1. Shocked - when they get the new insurance premium from their current insurance carrier
2. Frustrated - since they are ready to buy but they can't get their insurance agent on the phone
3. Desperate - when they find out their insurance has been cancelled or they don't currently have insurance and no one will take them
How do 73% of these scenarios turn into sold cars?
We have learned over time that we need to be available when you're looking to buy a car. Often this can be 7:30pm on a Tuesday or 4:00pm on a Saturday. We're open for all of them and run quotes on the spot! We even have your insurance cards emailed right over to you. We staff until 8:00pm most nights and staff from 10 -6 on Saturday to make sure we're available when you need us.
When we run insurance quotes for our customers they get up to 10 quotes with 1 call, that's powerful. Each insurance carrier has their sweet spot. Some prefer only clients with good credit and that are also homeowners and will offer very low rates since they've deemed those customers as less risky. Some carriers understand that people with a few accidents need insurance as well and even though the rates may not be quite as good they will give you a second chance. There are too many factors that affect your insurance rates to get only 1 quote, which is why we compare many.
If you don't currently have insurance and have ever tried to get covered, you've heard the prices and they can be scary. The good news is we have some carriers that are very competitive in these situations. Even better news is that after you've had insurance for 6 months we can re-shop you and get you a far better rate. That's right, we re-shop all of our customers, proactively, at renewal to make sure you have the best rate and whether you do or don't we will reach out to you and share your options with you. For many of our no insurance customers, we simply move them in 6 months to another carrier and dramatically reduce their rates.
